USMNT and Mexico Gear Up for 2025 Gold Cup
USMNT and Mexico have identified their group stage opponents for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. Launching on June 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the tournament positions USMNT in Group D. They will compete against Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, and guest team Saudi Arabia. Mexico, the reigning champions, are placed in Group A with Costa Rica, Suriname, and the Dominican Republic.
Tournament Structure and Timeline
The 2025 Gold Cup includes 16 teams competing for the championship. The top two from each group will enter the knockout rounds. Scheduled quarterfinals will happen on June 28 and 29, leading to the semifinals on July 2. The final showdown is set for July 6 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Canada’s team, in Group B, will go up against:

Concacaf has selected 14 North American stadiums, including first-time hosts like U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, PayPal Park in San Jose, and BC Place in Vancouver.
The 2025 Gold Cup is pivotal for USMNT, Mexico, and Canada as they refine their game plans ahead of co-hosting the 2026 World Cup. However, the simultaneous scheduling with the Club World Cup might affect player availability.
